In another sign that controversy is taking a toll on next week’s National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Tenn., two of its top attractions — Reps. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) — have decided to opt out of their prior plans to speak at the event.

There is no Tea Party. There are people who believe in the Tea Party principles. There is NO leader, no big corporation, no puppet master (George Soros). You cannot stop what has begun, not with corrupt lawyers, not with sleazy unions, not with corporate greed. We live and thrive on a fundamental set of values that regard personal responsibility, liberty, fiscal restraint as virtues to be promoted in the country we all love. You can whistle in the dark and pretend we are not here, or you can dismiss us as a fractured experiment that burned out before it began, but to do so is a big mistake. We are the USA, we are Democrats (not progressives), Republicans, Independents, and the formely apathetic now awake. I know you will deny that we exist and that is just fine with us. Our truth and our numbers will reveal themselves in November 2010...this WILL be change you can believe in.

Acting on a complaint by Max Baucus (D-Mont)who is the chair of the finance committee (gang of six), concerning a mailer that was sent out by Humana Inc. to it’s customers, he said “it is not acceptable for insurance companies to mislead seniors regarding ANY subject, particularly on a subject as important to them and to the nation as health care reform”.

So, I guess according to “Der Fuehrer”, Humana Inc., (which entity is the same as a person under law), does not have the right of free speech to express an opinion?

9% Expect Obama’s Spending Freeze To Have Big Impact on Deficit

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just nine percent (9%) think the freeze will reduce the deficit a lot.

Eighty-one percent (81%) disagree, including 42% who say it will have no impact. Another 39% say the freeze in nearly all areas except defense, national security, veterans affairs and entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security will reduce the deficit a little.
