Charley Rangel- Drain the Swamp

Rangle faces further investigation.

From the AP This means I have to Paraphrase, but instead of giving you direct quotes and the link, I'll just give you a summary, so if you want to read more, there is no reason.

Ethics investigation is looking at the charges.
  • He violated house Rules by using his position to Raise money for his building at the City College of New York.
  • His Committee was considering legislation at the same time he was soliciting donations.
  • Provided a tax shelter for oil drilling company, Nabours Industries. The CEO donated to His Center.
  • Used Four Rent-controlled apartments, as his Primary Residence.
  • Information and disclosure of the financing of his guest unit in the Cana Yacht Club in punta cana.

From McClatchy.

Even after Rangel's announcement, Republicans continued to blast Democrats on ethics. The National Republican Congressional Committee released a statement accusing vulnerable Democrats in 55 districts of accepting "tainted" campaign contributions from Rangel and challenging them to give the money back.

Democrats pledged to "drain the swamp" of unethical practices during the previous 12 years of Republican House control. Pelosi pledged that in the first 100 days after the new House would convene in 2007, new rules would be put in effect to "break the link between lobbyists and legislation."

Yep, Nancy you Bitch! Drain the Swamp and you find out it's filled with Crocodiles, and you are one of them. It's extra funny, when it looked like, even Nancy, had to Strong arm Rangel's Corrupt ass out.

Lets not forget about the Millions in Random Bank accounts!

Good For Jim Bunning

Good for him.

Bunning wants the $10 billion price of extending the programs offset by reductions in spending elsewhere in the budget in order not to drive up the deficit. The Senate can overcome his objection if 60 of its 100 members vote to do so. So far they haven't, and doing that would take at least four days under Senate rules.
No mater what you say, you have to agree that, he is standing for something. A rare thing in Congress. The arguments of Moron Democrats like Harry (dickless) Reid, arguing "well you were a hypocrite before, Come over and be a hypocrite again. Just like the rest of us.
Bunning once again stressed he supports the programs and funding in the measure and criticized Reid and Democrats for not sticking to recently passed "pay-go" provisions, which require paying for such programs with readily available funds rather than additional borrowing

If you are not smart enough to realize, Everybody is fiscally conservative when the Other party is in Power. But nobody has the Balls to, put the brakes on it, and take the Heat that Bunning is taking. If you notice, it has been four days already, Just like congress to whine about, working the weekend. Talk to real american workers about how many times they have had to dig in and work the weekend.

It's easy to talk about Cutting the Deficit when things are easy, Real Hero's are brave enough to do it when it is hard.

Congress can't vote for every tax cut, and for every spending bill, and just hope things will work out.

Of Course these Liberals are Embarrassed.

, wouldn't you be if you were Ed.

I hate to break this to people(Ok, that is a Lie. I love to say this stuff), But it is called a JOB... J-O-B. You take what you can get. I don't care if you used to make 100K. Apparently you weren't earning your money, and they had to Fire your Worthless Ass. So you take a step down in pay, you do a lesser job, you find a 50K job that someone is dying to hire a 100K employee for. If that Fails, YOU TAKE A JOB SWEEPING FLOORS.

I have run or had a hand in managing, hundreds of companies. I KID YOU NOT! An Employee who is unwilling to sweep a Floor, Who is "ABOVE SWEEPING"... is an employee, who has no business holding a job ABOVE FLOOR SWEEPER. Those are the Lazy ones in the office, and that is why you get rid of them. The good Workers, are the ones who ROLL UP THEIR SLEEVES and get the job done. If you aren't this kind of employee for your company. YOU ARE OVER PAID, and lucky you still hold a job.

It's fascinating that, "The Media" can shed a Crocodile Tear for these people.

So the solution for these people, is to take any job you can find. It is 'because you won't', that is the reason you don't have a job.

YOU WORK YOUR WAY UP THE EMPLOYMENT LADDER. Sometimes it's a step back, to take a few steps forward. WHAT YOU DON'T DO IS RUN AROUND WHINING ABOUT HOW YOU CAN'T GET THE SAME JOB AT THE SAME PAY AS YOU HAD, AND DON'T HAVE INSURANCE......YOU FREELOADER!!!

"Too Good" to take A job, they are not Qualified for.... and probably never were.

THANK GOD!

Good! Thank the lord Almighty. Frank Luntz has a plan to kill financial Reform. The last thing wee need is government stepping in and interfering with the inner workings of our financial system.

If only they would Truly let the markets be free. THEN WE WOULD GET SOMEWHERE!

"That government is best which governs least."
-- Thomas Paine

Language of Financial Reform -

This is fantastic, there is now a republican blueprint to stop Financial Reform

Luntz urges opponents of reform to frame the final product as filled with bank bailouts, lobbyist loopholes, and additional layers of complicated government bureaucracy.

"If there is one thing we can all agree on, it's that the bad decisions and harmful policies by Washington bureaucrats that in many ways led to the economic crash must never be repeated," Luntz wrote. "This is your critical advantage. Washington's incompetence is the common ground on which you can build support."

This is the way we can stop, any form of financial reform.!!

It's Math, You can Do on your fingers

You have to give Jeb Hensarling Republican from Texas some credit, he almost levels with the american people. Do the math.

78.2 million Baby Boomers,

There are only 304 Million people in the United states.

You can't have 1/3rd of the population drawing Social Security and Medicare.

You may only have 1/3rd or 1/2 of the population as wage earners when the Boomers Retire.

That is 2 people or less paying the Entitlement benefit for Every Retired person.

That is Wage Earners Paying Their Insurance 12Grand, Then a Babyboomers Insurance Roughly 20-30 Grand(old people are more expensive to insure!), and on top of that... Social Security Some Odd $1000.

WHEN THE BOOMERS RETIRE, it will be EACH WORKING ADULT PAYING some $20,000-$30,000 Grand Before you even get to Keep any money. To maintian current lifestyles, it will require you to make on average, some where around $150,000 per family. That will be Just to Maintain the median lifestyle.

I know that the Shrill Mathews is calling a Spade a Spade with Jeb Hensarling, But this is what Hensarling is saying!

"THE SYSTEM IS COLLAPSING UNDER THE WEIGHT OF THE BABY BOOMERS! and by Boomers, they mean BOOM!!!!"

But what the Politicians know and refuse to say is this same thing. But hopefully they will be out of town with the Loot, before it all Collapses. So what Henserling is saying... which he Flubs... IS TRUE, but he shudders because he wants to say it a Nice way.

SOCIAL SECURITY MUST BE CUT! And MEDICARE! It was Gone 20 years ago, and few of the politicians will man up and tell you!

OUR COUNTRY WILL GO NOWHERE UNTIL POLITICIANS MAN UP AND ADMIT THIS TO YOU!... THEY HAVE TO STOP LYING!

Obama's Budget Calls for Tax Hikes

Tomorrow's Headlines in the DJ newswire. I couldn't find a link to the story.

President Barack Obama proposed a $3.8 trillion budget for fiscal 2011 that will add fuel to the debate over the size and scope of government with proposals for big increases in personal and business taxes, modest spending cuts and increased outlays for education, defense and jobs initiatives.

The Obama Administration has focused in the days leading up to Monday's formal release of the budget blueprint on proposals to cap so-called "discretionary" spending, roughly 17% of the total budget, as part of a plan to start narrowing the record $1.6 trillion gap between proposed budget outlays and tax receipts. But the budget plan calls for nearly $1 trillion in tax increases on upper income families -- largely through allowing Bush tax cuts to expire. Banks, bankers and multi-national corporations would face new fees and levies. And oil companies would lose $39 billion in tax breaks.

Overall, Obama's budget plan would shrink the current deficit to $727 billion, or 4.2% of the gross domestic product, by 2013. But if annual deficits shrink, the total federal debt will keep growing.
